Cholesterol in Eggs - Good or Bad?

We all know that taking too much cholesterol can cause heart diseases. But, not taking cholesterol can also be bad.Balanced diet is the only way to achieve the needs of the body to have better health. Fats that come from healthy sources are very important to our body.

We can get healthy fat from eggs. Eating the cholesterol content especially the egg yolk can better absorb the Vitamin A. According to research, eggs do not cause heart disease risk and eating the egg yolks does not cause increase blood cholesterol to humans. Based on these studies, eating processed and refined foods such as sugar, flour and fat are the reason in increasing blood cholesterol.

People need to eat protein. There are 20 amino acids that can be found in different foods of protein. Eggs have all the essential amino acids that we need in our body. Diabetics are required to eat only one egg a day because too much of it can increase their cholesterol.

The content of each egg is not equal because they are laid by different chickens with different factors especially the environment. Some chickens have an environment that is not stressful. They are also called cage-free chicken because they are allowed to roam and find their own food. Through this, their eggs have essential vitamins.

Chickens that are in cages undergo stress. Their immune system lowers leading to infections. They also lay eggs that have fewer nutrients.

So, it is better to buy eggs that were grown in a cage-free environment. It is more expensive to buy farm fresh eggs, but you can get more nutrients that you need for your body.

In addition, eggs that are cooked lose some of their nutritional value. Egg yolks that are cooked in high heat can cause unhealthy fat. It is not a problem eating scrambled eggs but you cannot anymore get all the nutrients that you need. It is better to eat poached or soft-boiled eggs.
