External hemorrhoids! The very name sends shivers down the spine of those who have had it in the past! And poor souls, I can't blame them for combing the markets and virtual world for a really effective hemorrhoid treatment that will actually work!
After all, I am also one of those poor souls who suffered from this condition for decades and decades till I stumbled across this wonderful hemorrhoid treatment a few years back. Read on to know more.
External hemorrhoid treatment and remedy
? One of the main reasons of external hemorrhoids, both in normal men and women and in pregnant women is constipation. So if you can curb your constipation, you will get instant relief from external hemorrhoids.
? You have to consume a diet rich in fiber and for that you have to eat loads and loads of fruits, veggies, legumes, green leafy veggies and drink at least 14 to 16 glasses of water daily.
? Psyllium husk or isabgool taken once or twice a week will also ease and facilitate irritable bowel movement.
? Eat lesser amounts of meat products and particularly avoid red meat.
? Perhaps you don't know this, but those who eat a fiber rich diet right from their young adulthood never suffer from hemorrhoids! So take your cue!
? Moderate to light exercises, Kegel exercises and frequent walking also help to prevent hemorrhoids.
? If the itching, irritation and pain of external hemorrhoids are unbearable, you can soak your under portion i.e. your rectum in a shallow sitz bath.
? You can even add a small quantity of baking soda to the shallow sitz bath which will give you greater relief.
? Another great hemorrhoid treatment is witch hazel or medicated pads soaked in witch hazel solution.
Hemorrhoids can be a pretty painful and irritating anal condition, especially if you are pregnant. Although there are several medications available along with surgical intervention, I personally feel there is no need to take so much pain and experiment with so many different medications, most of which don't work!
