What Does a Full Medical Check Up Entail?

Every year, it's a good idea to get an annual exam, and no matter how old you are, you will find that you're probably curious on what is going to happen. While a twenty year old will have a different exam than a fifty year old, let's take a look at what you're probably going to have done to you.

When you first arrive at the office, you will fill out the necessary paperwork. Once called to the back, they will take your weight, as well as your height. All Doctor's offices will do this, no matter what kind of procedure / check up you're getting done.

After your weight, and height is noted down, this is where you will head to the checkup room. Here, the nurse will take your blood pressure, as well as ask you questions on if you're experiencing any problems, if you're on any medication, etc. Be honest with these questions, because they can diagnose you on particular situations, even if it's very minor to you. Remember, this is your health that you're talking about.

After all of this is done, the Doctor will then come into the room, where he will check your eyes, ears, as well as throat. He will also listen to your lungs, as well as your breathing pattern. He will check your reflexes, as well as make sure that you're feeling 100%.

Most of the time after this, you're going to have to get your blood taken. This will be shipped off to the labs for further testing. After a few weeks, you can call in to check on your results, to ensure that everything was okay. Generally, you will receive a phone call when your results are ready.

This is generally how most physicals / exams happen. You will find that the older you are, the more you may have done. Also, you will find that if you're experiencing any other problems, they may conduct other exams as well.
