When you allow anxiety and worry to rule you needlessly, you should notice how tense your muscles are. You were exercising them all of the time and using hundreds of calories of energy. The internal glands may over act when you raise your blood pressure and thus many more calories are lost when the intestinal secrecy do not flow so freely, thereby having indigestion and assimilation of food become difficult. You can certainly not gain unless your food is assimilated.
The first cure to this of course is relaxation. After you are better nourished your nerves, your system will not be on tension. Nature has stared the most precious forces which are working towards the normal health if not obstructed and hindered. Nature sometimes, require assistance to stimulate those forces, reinforce them and remove obstructions or hindrance. This is where a physician is required. You can personally help nature by realizing that nature is health and it is normal to be well.
The second cure is enough sleep. You generally suffer from sleeplessness. The over weights are sometimes admired to reduce their sleep. They feel happier when they notice a positive change in their action. You should therefore try to retire to sleep for a minimum of six hours a day.
The third cure- Exercise, Great muscular exertion should be avoided, but the setting up exercise of taking little walk in the morning, jogging or dancing also, if started with moderation and increased gradually will undoubtedly stimulate the appetite and help the body functions to be better performed.
The last step in these series is food. Food is the only source of body substance you must gradually train your stomach to take it so that it can care for enough food not only to supply your bodily energy but to leave a little excesses.
